The band - Carl Barāt
Carl Barat (full name: Carlos Ashley Raphael Barat) was born on 6 June 1978. He is the lead singer of Dirty Pretty Things. He also played in The Libertines with Pete Doherty, Gary Powell and John Hassall. They made two successful albums: 'Up the bracket' and 'The Libertines'. After the split of The Libertines, he formed the band Dirty Pretty Things with Gary Powell, Anthony Rossomando and Didz Hammond. They named the band after Barat's night club, now renamed to Bright Young Things.
