Deadwood
One of their fastest paced and more danceable tunes, 'Deadwood' is an obvious choice for second single from DPT's thriving debut album Waterloo To Anywhere.
Its choppy strums and fuzzy distortion immediately grab attention, fortified further by drummer Gary Powell's breakneck tempo and Carl Barat's familiar trailing vocals. Didz Hammond's presence is less prominent as the bass line is drowned out by some boisterous guitar work. This short offering comes off as a lightning fast track which is over before it's begun and leaves its audience wanting more.
It has an air of assurance that Dirty Pretty Things know exactly what they're doing and are well on their way to becoming one of the more successful super groups to emerge from the current UK scene.
