Wondering
Dirty Pretty Things have firmly earnt their position as being the scruffy-looking indie band that aren't as good as the Libertines are but are still better than Babyshambles, and their new single Wondering just goes to prove it.
Funny choice for a second single,
Wondering. Dirty Pretty Things have tunes coming out of their noses on their
Waterloo To Anywhere, and yet
Wondering is forgettable enough for us to have to go and check the back of the album to even make sure it was on there in the first place. Give
Wondering by Dirty Pretty Things a bit of time, though, and you'll start to be won over by its charms, maybe even enough to take your top off and use a Union Jack flag as a belt, like Carl Barat does in the
Wondering video. Add a typical 'lads larking about around London tahhn' video and you're firmly in indie heaven. One small issue, though - if Dirty Pretty Things are so firmly behind the
Make Roads Safe campaign, couldn't they have done better than to stagger around in the middle of the street in Highgate in the
Wondering video? Just a thought.
